My name is Dorothy and as Adult Services Reader Development Librarian, my job involves planning authors visits to libraries, working with reading groups, promoting reading as a great way to relax and unwind whoever or wherever you are and making sure that we have the books you want to read.

 

 

Susan - Early Years LibrarianSusan

I am the Early Years Librarian for Aberdeenshire Libraries and co-ordinate the Bookbug programme in our area. I also work with health and early years staff to provide resources to schools, nurseries and playgroups. Fun bits of the job involve singing and reading with young children! My dream job!

I’m part of the Systems Support Team at Aberdeenshire Libraries. We develop and support the IT systems which are used by both public and library colleagues. Technology is always updating and it is this constant change and challenge that makes our role rewarding.

 

 

David - Local Studies LibrarianDavid

I am Local Studies Librarian with Aberdeenshire Libraries. I work with the Library Service’s Local and Family History resources. It can be fascinating and very rewarding helping people find out more about Aberdeenshire and their ancestral roots.
