Autism Friendly Libraries

We autism resources are purchasing sensory resources that will enable us to create pop-up sensory spaces in our libraries in order to provide a fully inclusive service to all our users   The purpose of this is to provide families with children on the autistic spectrum access to an autism friendly environment where they can come together and enjoy the library.  Resources include a blackout pop-up tent, rotating lights, space projector, vibrating cushions and numerous handheld sensory items.  Dates on when the pop-up sessions will be coming to a library near you will be advertised soon.
