Although slightly in advance of the date, we decided to celebrate World Book Night by holding an event in Turriff Library for local aspiring writers.
World Book Night of course is about reading, but we can’t read without writers, so our lovely local author Maggie Craig visited the library on Tuesday morning to share her experience and wisdom with a local writing group plus one or two from outwith the Turriff area.
Seventeen folk attended in total and it was a lively, informative, practical and sharing experience for all. Hopefully it was also inspirational and we’ll hear more from some of these local writers in the future. We wish them well.
